Voluntary Action Rotherham (VAR) is the lead body for supporting, developing and promoting the voluntary and community sector in the Rotherham Borough. Our role is to support and develop effective action to bring about positive change in the lives of individuals and communities in the local area.
As Finance and Administration Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing financial administration support, maintaining records of income and expenditure, processing invoices and membership fees, budget setting and supporting the preparation of the charity’s accounts for independent examination. You will also be responsible for providing general administrative support to the Children, Young People and Families (CYPF) Consortium, organising meetings and events, taking minutes and supporting the application and onboarding processes of the Consortium membership and Board of Trustees.
As well as being able to undertake the different duties required, the successful candidate must be able to work enthusiastically within a team or individually as required. The ability to prioritise and manage workload whilst maintaining a flexible approach to respond to requests will be a key requisite of the successful candidate.
