Crynodeb
Alongside the education role, the postholder will be part of the paediatric team which will include working on the paediatric ward (Galaxy), paediatric emergency department as well as the Neonatal unit and postnatal ward. This is within a friendly and supportive team with consultant supervision and providing opportunities for workplace-based assessments, learning procedures, and developing clinical skills. The postholder will be welcome to attend the wide and varied programme of educational meetings and can access teaching specific to postgraduate exams if relevant. The appointed doctor will be part of the paediatric on-call rota, at either SHO or Registrar level depending on qualifications and prior experience. This role will suit enthusiastic and motivated doctors with an interest in education, and will provide excellent clinical and educational experience for the progression of a career within Paediatrics. It is a new and flexible post which offers the opportunity to be involved with undergraduate teaching, curriculum development and student assessment, while maintaining core clinical skills.
