As a Civil Enforcement Officer, you'll be the eyes and ears on the streets, helping our District Council implement the Traffic Management Act 2004.
Your responsibilities include:
- Enforcing Parking Rules: Rain or shine, you'll ensure that parking restrictions are respected, keeping our streets safe and accessible.
- Issuing Penalty Charge Notices: Note those pesky illegally parked vehicles and help maintain order on the roads!
- Tech-Savvy Checks: Keep an eye on pay & display machines, tackling any issues that arise with flair and efficiency!
- Spotting Trouble: Inspect car parks weekly and identify anything in need of repair-like fading lines or damaged signs.
- Helping Hand: Be the friendly face of the Council, assisting the public with all their queries and providing top-notch customer service.
- Team Player: Collaborate with other enforcement teams, CCTV, and the police to ensure our community stays safe and sound!
- Detective Work: Investigate abandoned vehicles and help them find their way home (or to removal!).
- Joint Ops: Team up with CCTV and Streetscene Enforcement for some exciting operation days!
- A good grasp of the Highway Code and Traffic Regulations? ✔️
- Stellar knowledge of the Thanet area? ✔️
- Strong communication and IT skills? ✔️
- A clean, valid driving license? ✔️
