Based at the Guildhall, Gainsborough

Our Building Control service is going from strength to strength, and we are now looking to recruit a permanent Trainee Building Control Surveyor to join the team. This is an exciting time to be involved in Building Control in West Lindsey, our projects include Gainsborough Town Centre regeneration with a new cinema, prestigious housing developments, multi-storey apartments and every kind of domestic extension and alteration you could think of.

We are looking for positive, commercially focused, forward-thinking person with excellent ICT skills to become a part of our busy Building Control team. The successful candidate will learn Building Control duties including plan checking, site inspections, enforcement, dangerous structures, and other building surveying duties when necessary. You will play a key role in our future success. We will support you on your journey to becoming a fully qualified registered Building Control professional with education to degree level and practical onsite experience.

Excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn are required along with at least a basic knowledge and understanding of construction, the Building Act, Building Regulations and associated legislation. The successful candidate may be required to participate in the out of hours dangerous structure call out rota system.
