We are seeking a dedicated Day Nursery Manager to lead and inspire our team at Meithrinfa Joio Day Nursery. About the Role:
As Day Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring that all children receive the best possible care and learning opportunities. You will be leading a team of childcare professionals, supporting their development, and ensuring compliance with all regulations and safeguarding requirements. You will work closely with parents, staff, and external agencies to create a nurturing and safe environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery.
• Lead, support, and motivate a team of childcare practitioners.
• Ensure a high standard of care and education is provided to all children.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, including safeguarding and health and safety
• Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and learning plans.
• Foster positive relationships with parents and families.
• Monitor and support staff performance, including training and development.
• Manage budgets, resources, and staffing requirements.
• Ensure the nursery provides a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for children.
Must hold a Level 4 childcare qualification or equivalent, or be willing to work towards it.
• Prior experience managing a children's day nursery.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of early years education, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate effective decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential.
• Full Clean Driving Licence and use of own car.
