It is an exciting time to be leading OPG as we seek to Modernise the Lasting Power of Attorney and transform how the OPG provides services. This is an ambitious programme which seeks to ensure accessibility of services to all citizens, enable supported decision making, improve security and safeguards, respond to significant demographic change, and maximise the use of technology.

The postholder will be responsible for over 1,500 staff across Birmingham and Nottingham, who:
• Register and amend lasting powers of attorney (LPAs)
• Safeguard people with LPAs investigating any concerns of abuse
• Monitor people holding deputyships, including investigating any concerns about their decisions

• Be responsible for budget of £70+ million,
• Use data insights to optimise and drive operational performance,
• Lead the management and improvement of OPG’s operational service delivery against performance targets,
• Lead continuous improvement and innovation to improve service standards and customer experience,
• Lead large operational change by implementing a new digital and paper application process for Lasting Powers of Attorney. As well as other transformation and digitalisation projects to improve our services.
