Location: Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider North Community Mental Health Team.
We pay an attractive salary of £49,764 - £52,805 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
This post attracts a Market Supplement of £2,800 per annum if in receipt of the Approved Mental Health Professional qualification, in addition to the annual salary, which will be paid in 12 monthly instalments.
The Team is co-located with Aneurin Bevan University Health Board colleagues at the North Integrated Health and Social Care Centre in Rhymney and we work with service users aged 18 and over who have mental health needs.
The postholder would need to be dynamic and forward thinking and will be required to practice in accordance with National Occupational Standards for Social Work and Code of Practice for Social Care Workers to deliver assessment and care management services.
As a Team Manager you will provide leadership and management to qualified social work staff, support workers and administrative staff deployed within the team. You will ensure staff provide the highest standards of professional support to service users and carers, colleagues and other professionals. You will also have responsibility for the management of allocated financial budgets ensuring team members use available resources to meet needs in a flexible and creative way within agreed delegated authority.
You will be expected to participate in the Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) duty rota if you hold the relevant qualification and will support other AMHPs within the service to effectively undertake this challenging role.
For the role, we ask that you have:
A Diploma / Degree in Social Work or predecessor qualification.
Post Qualifying Awards for Consolidating Practice and Enabling Practice or equivalent eg PQ1, Practice Teaching Accreditation, Approved Mental Health Professional.
Knowledge of the safeguarding responsibilities for social workers in working with vulnerable adults and children.
A full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend appointments and visit clients at their home.
