About the role
As our Counselling Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of counselling services and other psychological support. Working with autonomy within this interesting role, you will administer, triage and assess service users needs from referrals and assign cases to contract or volunteer/student counsellors, alongside holding a small case load. You will act as an ambassador for Big C, cancer charity promoting awareness and endorsing the aims and objectives of Big C.

As a successful candidate, you must be a member of a professional body e.g., BACP and hold a level 4 diploma in counselling skills. You should have experience in supervising a small team, working knowledge and experience of a range of psychological therapies and experience in assessing and triaging clients affected by ill health or bereavement using competent counselling skills to recognise, respond and refer.

You will be based at one of Big C’s Norwich Support and Information centres (to be discussed and agreed with successful candidate) but may have the potential to hybrid work from home too.

The working hours are 28 hours per week, to be worked over 4 days, predominantly between Monday to Friday but some evening and weekend working may be required.

The salary is £22,867.00 to £25,809.84 per annum, pro rata, subject to skills and experience. (£28,583.75 to £32,262.30 full time equivalent).
