Summary
A rare opportunity has arisen to join the Facilities team at Middlesbrough Football Club. The successful candidate will play an integral part in supporting our hardworking team, who ensure the facilities across the organisation are safe and well-maintained.
The Role
The main responsibilities of the role include:
• To support the facilities team in providing safe and well-maintained facilities across the organisation
• To conduct reactive and proactive maintenance across Club facilities
• To take on responsibility for all matchday preparations requested by Facilities Manager
• To be a member of the on-call team for out of hours call outs
• To monitor and maintain the company Building Energy Management System (BEMS) with a focus on energy saving and staff training
• Ensure that employees adhere to the company drivers’ policy by carrying out monthly checks and completing appropriate paperwork on company fleet vehicles
• Be accountable for CCTV operations, keeping appropriate records regarding any incidents requiring CCTV footage storage.
• Ensuring correct, and up to date records are kept for legally required general maintenance operations
• Support the Facilities Manager to discharge the Health and Safety accountabilities and be accountable for specific areas checks as requested
The Candidate
Our ideal candidate will have significant organisational experience in facilities maintenance. You will also have:
• The knowledge and ability to carry out repairs to equipment, carry out preventative measures and carry out routine inspections
• The ability to inspect, diagnose and solve maintenance problems
• Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and plumbing
• Three years’ experience working in facilities maintenance
• Strong initiative, often working unsupervised and sometimes undirected to solve maintenance problems
• Well organised and ability to forward plan maintenance schedules
• Proactive in identifying maintenance issues
• Reliable, trustworthy, hard worker and to work well under pressure
• Possess a strong customer service ethos
Desirable
• Health & Safety (IOSSH Level)
• IPAFF Licence
• PASMA
• First aid certification
• Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft office or similar packages.
• Knowledge of industry specific legislation and regulations.
• A minimum of 2 years working in the field of safety management, ideally within a matchday/sport setting.
