Ash Safety is a company that specialises in providing equipment, servicing and training for confined space entry and rescue as well as for height safety requirements. The company has built an excellent reputation for product knowledge and understanding so that it can offer the correct options to clients. Ash Safety is split into 5 divisions, consisting of Hire, Sales, Service, Training & Manufacturing.
We are seeking a Delivery Driver/Technician to work from our Swindon depot.
The role begins with learning the equipment that the company supplies, and performing delivery and collection duties (van-based) across a broad area. For the right candidates, this would in time progress toward training in the servicing and maintenance of a variety of safety equipment.
Experience in our specific field is not required as full in-house training would be provided, but any prior experience working with technical or precision equipment, or on maintenance/repair work would be advantageous, and a mindset suited to work of a precise nature is essential. Ash Safety will happily consider applicants without experience in the field if they have the right attitude toward their work.
There would also be a proportion of any given working day spent helping with the day to day turnaround of hire equipment, involving acting as a workshop assistant in cleaning and checking of equipment, helping customers and assisting with tasks of a wide variety.
Working hours are 8:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday (Occasional early starts with time given in lieu).
For the purposes of delivery and collection of equipment, a vehicle will be provided.
