Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our client's team based in King's Lynn.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
➢Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
➢Transport goods to designated locations while ensuring timely deliveries.
➢Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance.
➢Complete relevant paperwork, including delivery notes and logbooks.
➢Maintain communication with the logistics team regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
➢Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good working order.
➢Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
➢Compliance with legislation - Maintaining an accurate record of break times according to WTD regulations (drivers’ hours, highway regulations)
➢Take responsibility for the overall quality of the work delivered
Requirements:
➢Valid HGV Class 1 ( C+E ) license.
➢Up-to-date CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digital Tachograph Card qualification.
➢No major traffic offences - No DR, DD, TT99 or NI codes accepted
➢Previous experience as an HGV Driver preferred ( 12 months minimum ).
➢Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices.
➢Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
➢Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
➢Adhering to both agency's and client’s regulations and procedures
➢Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards of work.
