Summary

Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for 30 LES Operative 2s to join our Nightshift Streetscene Team on a permanent basis.

NRS brings together a diverse range of Glasgow City Council operational, technical and development services that focus on sustainable transport, place making and delivering essential city services.

Position Details

Duties will involve assisting with the delivery of a range of tasks covering the general maintenance of highways, properties, open spaces, inland waterways, and parks. You will also assist higher graded operatives / tradesmen with more skilled work.

Good communication skills, an ability to deal with the public and work within a team are essential. Previous experience of labouring and operating equipment is advantageous although full training will be provided. The location is city-wide, and candidates must be prepared to work at any Depot location as required.

It is anticipated that interviews will take place from week commencing 14 April 2025.

Contract Details

Weekly Hours: 37 per week

Work Pattern: 4 on, 4 off rota working 7pm – 7am

Annual Salary: £23,664.42

Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attracts an annual non-standard work pattern/hours (NSWPH) payment of £10,510 plus an annual working context & demand (WCD) payment of £1,127.
