Location: Wigan and Leigh Carers Centre (WLCC), 3-5 Frederick Street, Hindley, Wigan WN2 3BD and the Borough of Wigan
Contract: Part-time (21 hours per week, flexible)
Salary: £25,844.00 per annum pro rata

About Us: Wigan and Leigh Carers Centre (WLCC) is dedicated to supporting unpaid carers in our community. As we embark on developing our new unpaid carers strategy, we are looking for a dynamic and creative Marketing and Communications Officer to join our team.
Job Purpose: The Marketing and Communications Officer will be responsible for:
• Managing internal and external communications with carers, staff, stakeholders, and the public.
• Measuring and analysing the impact of WLCC's external communications.
• Developing and maintaining WLCC's digital products, including social media channels and the website.
• Ensuring that WLCC's Vision, Mission, and Values are professionally represented in all communications.
• Supporting staff in delivering key messages in line with WLCC brand guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy.
• Raise the profile of WLCC and its services across the Wigan Borough.
• Research, write, and distribute press releases to achieve maximum reach.
• Manage and update the WLCC website and social media channels.
• Develop and deliver awareness campaigns and monitor their outcomes.
• Design and coordinate corporate leaflets, reports, and documents.
• Produce quarterly newsletters for adult and young carers.
• Measure the impact of WLCC's marketing and communications efforts.
• Produce annual impact reports on WLCC services.
Essential Experience, Skills & Ethos:
• Experience in a senior communication and PR role, including traditional and social
media.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver communication and marketing strategies.
• Strong skills in content creation for websites and social media.
• High-level digital skills and IT proficiency.
• Positive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to excellence and
innovation.
• Strong commitment to the aims and values of WLCC and the promotion of equality
and diversity.
