Crynodeb
Our Teaching Assistants play a key role in assisting students with differing needs and abilities to maximise their potential and achievement. This role would suit someone, with or without existing experience, with a desire to make a difference to the life chances of students. In addition, if you are a graduate and considering teaching, this would be an excellent start to your career.It is desirable that you have Cache Level 3 (or be working towards this), strong spoken and written English and a good grounding in Mathematics. Enthusiasm for working with young children is essential! A positive and flexible approach is required and you should have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team. Other qualities required include patience, excellent communication and motivational skills, and being able to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team building good relationships with colleagues and students.
A desire to actively contribute to the learning, personal and social needs of our children, while encouraging independence is required. Key duties will include assisting and advancing learning of identified children in a range of ways including small group work or 1:1 sessions as well as supporting children in class.

Grade: NJC Scale 4, points 7-10 (£30,373 -£31,702 full time equivalent)
Hours of duty: 8.30am – 3.30pm with one hour lunch break, Monday to Friday, term time only.
Fixed term contract from Tuesday April 22nd 2025 until 22nd July 2025 with the possibility to extend this.
Responsible to: Class teachers, senior leaders, Inclusion Officer and Headteacher, and will be deployed to meet pupil needs across the school as required.Closing date to receive application forms: 12:00pm Wednesday 2nd April 2025. We reserve the right to appoint a candidate ahead of the closing date.
