Neway are looking for a Bulking Station Services Driver to join Conwy County Borough Council.

This role is starting asap, based in Coed Pella. Working 37 hours a week Mon to Fri between 7am to 3pm. The role requires daily county-wide travel, you will have a full clean driving licence and experience of driving a 3.5t vehicle. This role also involves extensive lifting and walking.

Job Purpose:
To drive a Conwy County Borough Council vehicle for the purpose of collecting nappies and Absorbent Hygiene Products waste from households county wide. To follow a collection round, completing the round, whilst providing a high level of service. Adhering to the Councils safe working procedures. To tip off the vehicles contents at a specified location on a daily basis. Use of in cab screen to complete the collection rounds and to report any property issues via the in cab screen i.e. any presentation / contamination issues. To deal effectively with members of the public and to resolve service issues on site.

Duties and Responsibilities - Job Specific
1. To drive and be responsible for the allocated collection vehicle (pick-up vehicle) or other non-large goods vehicle (non-LGV) and associated plant. Collect nappies and/or clinical waste from agreed collection point’s county wide, load into vehicle and discharge at the appropriate drop off at specified location, as required.

2. Carry out collection and emptying of various recycling containers and collection of clinical bins and sacks following defined routes (using in cab device). Deliver informational and marketing materials and replacement recycling containers to service users when required.

3. Ensure that recycling containers and/or bins are returned to the appropriate location after collection and any spillages are cleared. Ensure that a replacement sack is left at the property.

4. Duties will normally be carried out by a single operator vehicle.

5. Work in accordance with all safe working procedures, risk assessments, Council policies and employee responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act. This also covers the wearing of reflective jackets, safety footwear and all mandatory PPE and uniform.
