About us
Belong is seeking to appoint an outstanding individual with drive, passion, enthusiasm and ambition to join our Facilities Department. We are looking for a Property Maintenance Operative Apprentice to support our Facilities Lead in conducting day-to-day site support through routine maintenance tasks, general repair work and Health and Safety tasks.
We are looking for an immediate start, with the commencement of a Property Maintenance Operative apprenticeship in September 2025.
The salary stated is the actual salary for term time +2 weeks per year
Belong School Gloucestershire is an independent special school for students aged 11 to 16 from across Gloucestershire. We specialise in working with parents, carers and other professionals to enable our students to strengthen their social, emotional and mental health whilst achieving academic outcomes to enable them to access post 16 further education and employment.
We work with young people and their families to develop learning strategies to overcome individual challenges and meet Education Health and Care Plan goals with our unshakable belief that with the right support, every pupil can learn, grow and thrive.
About you
The successful candidate will be willing to start an Apprenticeship in September 2025 and have GCSEs in English and maths grade 3-9.
A positive, flexible attitude is essential.
No experience is necessary.
About the role
The role is based at our school in Slimbridge and is term time only. Transport support is available from Cam and Dursley train station.
The aim of the role is to focus on optimising property condition and quality, ensuring the building is kept in a safe working condition and provide adequate response to fault resolution. The role is supported by our Facilities Lead.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities
- Comply with Health and Safety regulations
- Maintain tidy and organised workspaces
- Promote and enhance recycling and environmental initiatives
