Main purpose of the job:

The Graduate Outcomes Manager will develop and implement a strategic plan to enhance graduate employability, ensuring Roehampton students and graduates successfully transition into highly skilled employment, postgraduate study, or self-employment. The role involves fostering strong employer relationships that align with the aspirations of our diverse student body, collaborating with colleagues across the University and leading on projects that enhance graduate outcomes. Additionally, the postholder will leverage data to inform employability and employer engagement strategies and oversee a career mentoring scheme connecting Roehampton students and alumni with experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Graduate Outcomes Strategy & Implementation

Design and execute a data-driven Graduate Outcomes strategy to improve student employability and career readiness.

Plan and implement a quarterly Graduate Outcomes promotional campaign, including targeted interventions.

Develop and oversee a project plan to enhance awareness and participation in the Graduate Outcomes Survey, collaborating with the Marketing, Communications, Alumni, and Planning teams.

Present Graduate Outcomes data and insights at senior-level committee meetings, raising awareness of employment trends and graduate destinations among academic colleagues.

Graduate Engagement & Career Support

Deliver the early-graduate communications plan, crafting engaging, tailored content while monitoring and reporting engagement metrics.

Plan and execute ‘keep warm’ initiatives to maintain graduate engagement with career services.

Proactively match graduates with suitable graduate employment opportunities.

Develop and implement a Graduate Development Programme to support unemployed Roehampton graduates in securing meaningful employment.

Maintain a strong presence at graduation ceremonies to promote career services and the Graduate Outcomes Survey.

Data Management & Reporting

Oversee the accurate and timely implementation of the Career Registration methodology to track career development across the student journey.

Conduct one-to-one graduate careers appointments and workshops to enhance employability prospects.

Lead the early-graduate survey process, ensuring effective data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Create and distribute regular graduate newsletters to promote employment events and the Roehampton Internship Scheme.

Employer & Alumni Engagement

Design, promote, and deliver initiatives—such as The Get Hired workshops—that connect graduates with employers and foster skill development.

Manage and grow a career mentoring scheme that pairs Roehampton students and recent graduates with experienced professionals for career advice and guidance.

Support academic employability leads in organizing department-level career initiatives based on data-driven insights into student needs.

Work closely with academics and professional services teams, including Student Support, Student Engagement, and Planning, to ensure a holistic approach to student success.

Systems, Processes & University Engagement

Enhance tracking, monitoring, and reporting systems to provide senior management and key stakeholders with comprehensive graduate employability insights.

Represent career services at University Open Days, postgraduate evenings, and other recruitment events, reinforcing careers as an integral part of the Roehampton student experience.

Undertake additional duties as required by the Director of Roehampton Futures or Head of Careers and Placements.
