This is a rare opportunity to lead strategic change that will directly improve the lives of people with learning disabilities across east London. As our Learning Disability Lead Nurse, you'll provide expert clinical leadership across our five hospitals, supporting over 1.5 million people including some of the most vulnerable in our communities.
You'll lead a dedicated team of specialists, ensuring that patients with learning disabilities receive excellent, equitable care throughout their healthcare journey. Working closely with Trust leadership, you'll champion reasonable adjustments, develop innovative care pathways, and implement best practices that reduce health inequalities.
This post has been designed to support the continued development of high-quality nursing services to meet the holistic needs of patients with Learning Disabilities (LD). The post holder will provide leadership to the Trust’s Learning Disabilities Team. This post holder will act as expert point of contact across the Trust to deliver excellent and equitable care and treatment for patients with a learning disability. The post holder will be required to work across Barts health five Hospitals. They will be a resource of expert professional advice and contact for internal stakeholders, external stakeholders locally, across NEL and nationally, ensuring the Trust meet good practice guidance and law in relation to the care of patients with a Learning Disability.
