Welcome to our new Animal Management Centre.
Our Animal Management team are looking for a qualified and dynamic full time animal technician.
In this role, you will be supporting lecturing staff and maintaining the Animal Management Centre alongside our established animal team. Your main priority will be ensuring the highest standard of care and welfare takes place for our animals. You will be heavily involved in the day-to-day running of the centre as well as ensuring that students are supported in their practical lessons. This role does not have any teaching or assessment responsibilities. This role will include weekend shifts.
To apply for this role, you must hold at least a level 3 qualification in Animal Management and have 2 years' practical experience in a similar role. Applicants with aquarist experience are especially sought after.You must be a strong communicator and put animal welfare at the heart of your work.
