Crynodeb
The Job Description is currently pending Royal College Approval Tower Hamlets Centre for Mental Health is situated within a purpose built unit on the Mile End Hospital site close to Mile End and Stepney Green Tube stations. The four general adult wards at THCMH have a continuity of care model with consultants having an inpatient and community workload. There is a partner 11 bedded male PICU ward (Millharbour) in the unit, which is led by another consultant (1.0 wte). The Female PICU has close links with forensic colleagues based in Tower Hamlets and at the John Howard Centre (ELFT Forensic inpatient service), who provides Medium Secure beds for women and liaison forensic input. The PICU services in Tower Hamlets also have close links with the National Association of Psychiatric Intensive Care, and have joint RCPsych/NAPICU accreditation.
