Summary
Responsible for the planning and the detailed production of the Council’s statutory Statement of Accounts. This is the second year set of accounts for the newly formed Somerset Unitary Council.
The role acts as the key point of contact with internal and external stakeholders.
This is a very technical and specialist role which requires extensive and up to date knowledge of the latest regulations and best practice.
(HCC) A sound knowledge of current accounting standards (preferably International Financial Reporting Standards)
(HCC) A sound knowledge of the codes of practice and developments in connection with local authority accounting and accounting practise generally.
(HCC) A sound understanding of the current key developments in local authority finance.
(HCC) Implementation of new accounting standards compulsory
Can be fully remote or on site if agency prefer.
**£650.00 Umbrella Day Rate & Inside IR35 - If suppliers are submitting workers who cannot agree to this then please raise this to somerset@teammatrix.com prior to submitting the worker.
If suppliers are submitting different rates on CV's or on the activity box without raising this first then the supplier will be raised to Matrix Supplier Engagement team and will be reviewed/possibly suspended**
