ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Parenting and Group Work Practitioner, you will be at the heart of delivering high-quality support to families, empowering parents and carers to develop their skills and confidence. You will facilitate engaging group sessions, using evidence-based approaches to create a positive, supportive space where families can learn, share experiences, and build strong relationships. Working across Family Hubs, Children’s Centres, and outreach settings, you will ensure services are accessible and tailored to meet the diverse needs of local communities. Collaboration is key, and you will work closely with partner organisations and professionals to strengthen the support available to families. Whether leading parenting programmes, encouraging positive play and interactions, or signposting to wider services, your role will make a lasting impact. If you’re passionate about helping families thrive and want to be part of a team that delivers meaningful change, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a difference. This role is based in Birmingham and may involve working across areas in Hodge Hill/Sutton Coldfield and Erdington/Perry Barr.
ABOUT YOU
You are a skilled practitioner with experience in facilitating group sessions and delivering evidence-based parenting programmes. With a background in family support, early years, or social work, you understand the challenges families face and can provide structured, tailored support. Your knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and early intervention enables you to create safe, engaging group environments that promote positive change. Organised and proactive, you can plan, deliver, and evaluate group programmes, ensuring they meet quality standards and achieve outcomes. You work effectively with colleagues, partner agencies, and community organisations to provide joined-up support for families. If you’re passionate about using your expertise to empower parents and improve family well-being, this role offers a great opportunity to make a real difference.
