The Role

This post is a joint post between NHS GM and Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council.

As a key member of the Senior Management Team of both NHS GM and Tameside MBC, this joint appointment is a fantastic opportunity to work across both organisations and with our local communities, to make a real difference to health prospects of local people.

About You

You will be an appropriately qualified, highly-skilled and an experienced public health professional, able to lead multiple programmes across both NHS and Local Authority frameworks to improve health and address inequalities in Tameside.

You must have the drive and character to inspire and develop staff and the organisation with proven ability to lead transformational change. Offering a practical, outcome-focused approach, you will have the ability to effectively engage with the community and other stakeholders, acting as a champion on public health issues.

You will need to demonstrate high levels of political awareness with the skills and sensitivity to work in a complex and changing environment.
