Job Opportunity: Residential Support Worker (Waking Night)
Location: Hatfield
Salary: £11.50 - £13 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, waking night
Are you passionate about supporting families and making a positive difference? We are seeking a compassionate Residential Support Worker for a residential service dedicated to supporting young children. This role focuses on providing a safe, supportive, and structured environment to help families reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with team members and external professionals to guide young people towards their placement goals.
- Record and monitor progress, supporting young people with practical life skills.
- Encourage positive behaviours and maintain a safe environment.
- Provide transportation for appointments.
- Maintain professional boundaries while promoting constructive relationships within the service.
Ideal Candidate:
- Skills: Strong communication, resilience, flexibility, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work toward this).
- Experience: Prior experience with vulnerable children/young people.
- Availability: Must be willing to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Driving Licence: Essential (business insurance on vehicle required).
