OPEN DAY Tuesday, 1st of April at the Royal Commonwealth Pool

Full-time & Part-time Permanent and Seasonal roles

Salary - £22,779 ( £12.25 per hour) Location - various venues across Edinburgh

We are searching for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join our Lifeguard / Leisure Attendant (Wet) teams. We have a variety of permanent and seasonal roles available at venues across Edinburgh.



In this dynamic, hands-on role, no two days are the same. You will:

- Deliver an exceptional experience for every customer
- Be the vigilant lifeguard, ensuring the safety of all swimmers
- Set up our facilities and equipment for events and customer use
- Keep everything clean, safe, and presentable

No experience is needed! However, our ideal candidate will be:

- A strong swimmer
- Confident and professional in communicating with diverse groups of people
- Able to work well both independently and within a team
- Quick to learn and follow all pool safety standards and procedures

While a valid NPLQ is desirable, we offer a FREE Lifeguard Training Course if you don’t have one.



Permanent opportunity:

- Portobello Swim Centre – Full-time, 35.75 hours per week – Earliest start 06:15 & latest finish 21:15. Working 1.5 weekends in 10 weeks.


Seasonal opportunities – June to September - A mix of early & late shifts & weekends:

- Ainslie Park Leisure Centre – Full-time, 35.75 hours per week – Earliest start 05:30 & latest finish 21:30.
- Glenogle Swim Centre – Full-time, 35.75 hours per week – Earliest start 06:30 & latest finish 21:30.
- Gracemount Leisure Centre – Part-time, 30 hours per week – Earliest start 06:00 & latest finish 21:15.
- Dalry Swim Centre – Part-time, 30 hours per week – Earliest start 06:30 & latest finish 21:15.
- Leith Victoria Swim Centre – Part-time, 30 hours per week – Earliest start 05:30 & latest finish 21:15.
- Portobello Swim Centre – Part-time, 30 hours per week – Earliest start 06:30 & latest finish 21:15.
- Warrender Swim Centre – Part-time, 30 hours per week – Earliest start 06:15 & latest finish 22:00.



Meet our team at The Royal Commonwealth Pool on Tuesday, 1st Of April 2025 from 10:00 to 18:00 for an interview and water test. Due to limited spaces available on the day, we will contact you to reserve your slot.
