Summary
The Process Development and Improvement team is responsible for the following:
Defining all commercial processes, with input from policy owners and alignment with the systems team
Working with the Policy team to articulate MOD positions on key commercial matter, with clear delineation of what is a result of legislation, pan-government policy, MOD policy or local policies
Developing an easy to access process tool, for stakeholders to use
Providing guidance and support to all stakeholders on the commercial processes
Working with all the Procurement Reform part of the team, and other improvement projects to ensure process changes are aligned to the direction of travel, do not create a conflict, and can be applied.
Key Responsibilities
The Process Development and Improvement Officer reports to the Process Development and Improvement Senior Officer, and is responsible to contribute to:
Map and document the full end to end commercial processes
Map and document the intended procurement process dictated by the new Procurement Bill
Work with various stakeholders to ensure processes documented are accurate and useful
Develop the process tool to allow all commercial and delivery staff to access the correct process at the correct time
Assist all staff with process queries
Deliver compliance guidance and training to staff when required
Maintain SharePoint site
Represent the team at meetings
Update the Kanban/planner on Microsoft 365
Review the processes and recommend improvements
