Crynodeb

I have complex medical conditions caused by severe spinal injury. A power wheelchair user. I need PAs to fill the void left by my late husband who passed away recently.

I am looking for a Personal Assistant to assist me with my exercise routine at home. I use a special bike exercise machine which I should ideally use several times a week in order to maintain mobility. I need help setting up the exercise machine. The Personal Assistant would also support me going out and about in the community. I currently live on the first floor in a tenement building and I can only go out with someone else’s assistance using a special stair climber. Training will be provided to operate the equipment.

Person specification:

Although training will be provided, the ideal applicant must be fit and strong enough to operate a stair climber, therefore good fitness level and awareness in safe manual handling are essential. This post would be suitable for someone studying physiotherapy or occupational therapy.
I am looking for someone with a patient and gentle approach.
PVG membership essential.

Hours and rate of pay:

The post would be for 4-5 hours per week, shifts to be arranged in a flexible way that suits us both.
Hourly rate: £15 per hour.
