The Role :

Our client is a leading ceramics manufacturer, dedicated to producing high-quality pottery and tableware. With a strong reputation for craftsmanship and excellence, they take pride in every stage of our production process. We are now looking for a Glost Selector to join our Client and ensure only the finest finished products reach our customers.

Role Overview:

As a Glost Selector, you will be responsible for inspecting and selecting glazed ceramic pieces (glost ware) to ensure they meet quality standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, an understanding of ceramic defects, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


Hours
Monday to Friday

8am - 4:30pm

Pay

£11.44 - £12.38 per hour - DOE

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect fired ceramic products for defects such as cracks, glaze faults, or discoloration.
  • Select and grade products based on quality standards.
  • Remove any substandard pieces and report defects to the production team.
  • Handle and stack glost ware carefully to avoid damage.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Work closely with the quality control and production teams to improve product consistency.
    Requirements:
    • Previous experience in ceramics, glazing, or quality control is preferred but not essential.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot imperfections.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
    • Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment.
