Summary

Working as part of the Royal Yorkshire's small Regimental Headquarters Team providing critical support to this historic Infantry Regiment your main responsibilities will be:

Officer Recruiting: The planning, coordination, and delivery of all regimental officer recruiting, including:

Supporting potential officers through the system to the Royal Yorkshire Regimental Selection Board held at RMA Sandhurst
Attracting potential Officers and Officer Cadets into the Regiment
Writing and publishing an Officer Recruiting Plan to ensure officer recruiting is co-ordinated across the Regiment.
Providing regular Officer publications and collateral for officer attraction and recruitment linked to the Regimental Brand.

Community Engagement: Representing the Royal Yorkshire Regiment across the County of Yorkshire, you will be responsible for:

Engaging and connecting with the wider Yorkshire community to build and maintain supportive relationships including with Local Authorities, Livery Companies, professional sport clubs and other potentially supportive organisations.
Liaising with Local Authorities in the planning and execution of Freedom / Homecoming Parades, Armed Forces Covenant, Armed Forces Day, and Remembrance events.

Support the Regiment: Working collaboratively with the wider Headquarters team you will utilise media channels to raise the profile of the Regiment and support both recruitment and engagement. You will also lead on responding to the plethora of enquiries from members of the public in relation to the current and antecedent regiments.

Note the nature of the role may mean you are required to attend the occasional activity in the evening or at the weekend. In the event you are required to work outside normal hours you will be compensated for doing so.
