As the UK’s largest gallery dedicated to contemporary visual arts from the Global Ethnic Majority, we champion diversity and inclusivity—and we want you to be part of it!
The Role:
The post holder will be a key member of NAE’s operations team, providing an essential role in maintaining the efficiency, safety, and usability of NAE’s building and ensuring an outstanding experience for all visitors, artists, and community members.
As our Venue & Facilities Coordinator, you will:
- Ensure our venue is well-maintained, safe, and welcoming for visitors, staff, and artists.
- Oversee building maintenance, safety checks, and compliance with health & safety regulations.
- Work with contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Support exhibitions, events, and venue hires, making sure spaces are ready and running efficiently.
- Play an active role in environmental sustainability by helping reduce energy use and improve efficiency.
We are interested in hearing from candidates with a range of experiences across venue operations and building management and look forward to discussing how this role will be a catalyst for growth for both you and NAE.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with some experience in facilities, venue, or building management. This role is ideal for those looking to expand their skills and career. The candidate should have strong organisational abilities, knowledge of health and safety regulations, and a commitment to creating an accessible environment. A hands-on approach, problem-solving skills, and a drive to improve operations are essential. We welcome applicants with learning and development needs and will provide support where necessary.
