Summary
We are looking for Bartenders for Spooner's CAMRA award-winning bar.
We can offer you:
• £11.70 per hour rising to £12.41 per hour
• Seasonal contract from 24th March to 31st October 2025, with the possibility of extension to January 2026
• Full time or part time / job share positions available

Key duties will include serving customers at the bar, handling money and clearing tables. Spooner’s works a team so candidates will be expected to help their colleagues working on the café counter or in the kitchen if required. Experience working a busy bar is preferred but not essential, as training will be given to the right candidate.
The successful candidate will thrive working in a fast-paced, buzzing environment. The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to work shifts over days, evenings and weekends. Hours available to suit candidate, up to 40 hours per week over 5 shifts.
Core Skills:
• Experience in a Front of House role
• Team player
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work cleanly and tidily
• A basic knowledge and understanding of food and kitchen hygiene is desirable
• A basic knowledge of Cellar Management would be an advantage but is not essential
• An interest in the drinks industry and knowledge of Cask Ales, Wine and Cocktails would be advantageous
• The ability to speak Welsh would be an advantage as would knowledge of the railways, their passengers and the local economic market.
