We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and resilient teacher to join our committed team at Castle School,who:
• Has a passion for education and student development.
• Can adapt their teaching and communication methods to suit the needs of children and young adults.
• Demonstrates cultural competence and values diversity, ensuring inclusivity in their classroom.
• Is committed to ongoing professional growth and collaboration.
Main roles and Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants, and other staff to meet the individual needs of our students.
• Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons that inspire students and help them reach their full potential.
• Create a positive, enabling classroom environment that supports learning, exploration, and personal growth.
• Complete all required documentation in line with school policies and procedures.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including fostering independence and developing communication skills.
• Promote inclusivity and cultural competence within the classroom, valuing and celebrating the diversity of our students.
• Engage in regular training and professional development opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and multi-disciplinary teams to support student development.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed to meet individual needs.
Castle School provides education for learners with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, including autism. Our students benefit from the expertise of a highly skilled and dedicated team of teachers and teaching assistants.
