About the role

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual to undertake the role of Operations Team Manager within the Responsive Repairs team.

This is a12 month fixed term position for maternity cover. The successful candidate will lead a team of multi-disciplined individuals in delivering an efficient repairs service within our occupied properties.

About you

We are looking for an experienced Operations Team Manager to join and support our Responsive Repairs team in managing an already excellent maintenance service, delivered to our customers in a way that that promotes high levels of customer focus, performance, safety, and quality, with a strong emphasis on innovation, forward thinking and continuous improvement.

The successful applicant should have a thorough understanding of building and maintenance practices in a social housing environment. They must possess the relevant knowledge, skills, experience necessary to successfully manage a multi- disciplined team of in-house trade colleagues, supported by approved subcontractors to undertake repair and maintenance tasks in a fast moving and dynamic working environment.

They must be dynamic, with a collaborative and engaging style, and possess strong customer service, people management and organisational skills. You should be highly organised, capable of working to tight deadlines, achieving KPIs and targets in accordance with budget constraints.

A full UK driving licence is essential.

  • Operations Team Manager (Responsive Repairs) – 12 month fixed term
  • Salary is £44,678 per annum
  • £618 flexible pot (which can be used for salary top-up)
  • Location: Newburn or Stanley
  • 37 Hours per week
  • Karbon car payment of £2,260 per annum (own car to be used)
  • Participation in the management of our out of hours service, which includes additional standby payments
