The Trust are recruiting a senior technical architect design, implement, review and deliver digital solutions in line with the Trusts digital strategy.

The Trust have an aim to utilise more of its cloud platform within Azure, this senior role will help inform technical architectural decisions around setup, high availability, performance and suitability. As part of this role you would be expected to lead implementation projects and follow best practices wherever possible.

This role will join a Cloud Architecture team within Digital and Data Services, with the team responsible for all aspects of the trusts Cloud tenant and its on-premise infrastructure estate.

This role will be based in the recently re-furbished Seaton Delaval offices, and will benefit from part at home, and part in the office working pattern, to ensure priorities, objectives and team culture are achieved and maintained.
• Reporting to theLead Technical Architect. Youwill have a trust level responsibility forthe infrastructureimplementation, availabilityand development of servers, cloud and end user compute architecture.
• To leadlargedigitalinfrastructureprojects through the stages ofinceptionto completion.

• Design,document,implement andpeer-approve the architecturesetup for the trust's server infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, systems,and end usercomputeinfrastructure.
• Use high levelsofexpertiseto research and planthe required technical solutions,in line with the trust's digital strategy, andimplement topublishedand Trust guidedbestpractises.

• Diagnose, investigate,planand implement infrastructure projects to improve uptime, system availability and resilience.

• Trust wide responsibility for outage escalations acrossonpremiseInfrastructure,cloud-based infrastructure,serversand end-usercomputetechnology.

• Working closelyacrossother teams throughout the trust to ensure any project work and infrastructure changes are in the interest of all parties.Alsothat they arein accordance withIG, Clinicalsafetyand security procedures.

• Oversee and propose benefits realized and objective based outcome results assessments, create business cases and input into other department needs papers foroperational boards.

• Trustwideresponsibility for defining the overalltechnicalstructure/reprovisionofnew,refreshed orupgrading,and current systemsplatform architecture.

• Responsible for proactivelyresearching,planningand reviewingnew and current system structures used at the trust.

• Usestheirup-to-date knowledge of IT infrastructure toidentifyopportunities to use emerging technology to increase efficiency,reliabilityand flexibilityacross the entire technical estate.

• Required toparticipateand be an SME onciti/sev1 events whereinfrastructurecould be a factor orimpacted.

• To work with and lead supplier engagements where liaison isrequired, along with technical supplier management and escalation.

• To ensure high availability, security and usability of the infrastructure in place that is transparent to users and ensure Service Level Agreements are in place.

• Part of the CITI 24/7 365 bestendeavourscalloutrotafor emergencies that relate to digital system downtime.

• A member of the digital servicescalloutrotawithin the skills discipline.
