We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Support Officer (Grade G) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be an integral part of our payroll department, assisting with the processing of payroll for employees across the organization. The Payroll Support Officer will ensure that all payroll information is accurate, up-to-date, and processed in a timely manner. You will be responsible for collecting, verifying, and entering data related to employee hours, deductions, and benefits into our payroll system. Additionally, you will support the payroll manager in resolving any discrepancies or issues that may arise during the payroll cycle. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding sensitive employee information. Responsibilities
Assist in the processing of bi-weekly payroll for all employees.
Verify timesheets and hours worked for accuracy and completeness.
Process employee deductions for benefits, taxes, and other contributions.
Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with regulations.
Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and documentation for audits.
Support the payroll manager in implementing new payroll processes and systems.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in payroll processing or a related administrative role.
Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £21.13
