Summary


Are you a qualified, or about to qualify, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) looking for a role in an innovative service at the interface of education, healthcare & community support?

We've an exciting opportunity to join the Bracknell CAMHS Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) as a Band 7 Therapist & Supervisor.

We're developing our MHSTs to reach more young people as part of the Government’s Mental Health in Schools initiative. You'll play an important role in this fast-growing, innovative service, increasing access to mental health support for young people. In this role you'll:
• Conduct psychological assessments, case formulation, and deliver CBT interventions
• Promote the emotional wellbeing and mental health of young people in educational settings
• Supervise and support colleagues as appropriate
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives
• Advise and work closely with our partner agencies, including the Local Authority, Youth Offending Teams and CAMHS pathways

• Clinical assessments for young people up to the age of 18 years, presenting with mild to moderate mental health problems
• Evidence-based therapeutic interventions (individual, group or family)
• To offer training, consultation and supervision to external agencies with regards to the mental health presentation of children and young people who are accessing the MHST.
• Within schools actively promote the whole school-based approach to developing and maintaining emotional health and well-being.  
• Provide leadership to the MHST, and deputising leadership to the team as required.
• Ensuring liaison and joint working between the Getting Help / MHST and the locality Early Help Hub and specialist CAMHS services.
• Use of routine outcome measures to promote active participation from young people and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
• Training to professionals

The“must haves” for this role:
• Post Graduate Diploma in CBT or appropriate doctoral qualification as detailed in the JD
• Registration with relevant professional body as detailed in JD
• Experience of working with young people with mental health difficulties
• Passion for providing collaborative and evidence-based mental health care in educational settings
