Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Carrot Wash Operative at a busy carrot factory on the outskirts of Mansfield. The ideal candidate will have experience in agricultural environments and be comfortable working with fresh produce.
The hours of work are Monday- Friday, 7.30-4.00pm with overtime available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate carrot washing machinery efficiently and safely
- Ensure that all carrots are thoroughly cleaned and free from dirt or debris
- Monitor the quality of the carrots throughout the washing process
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the workplace at all times
- Assist with the packing of washed carrots for distribution
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on machinery
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily production targets
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and company protocols
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in agricultural or fresh produce roles is preferred
- Familiarity with working in a factory or similar fast-paced environments
- Ability to work in wet and cold environments
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
Additional Requirements:
- Own transport is highly desirable due to the location of the factory
- Flexibility to work overtime if required
