Working with us as a Teaching Fellow in Civil Engineering
We are seeking an exceptional Teaching Fellow in Civil Engineering with a relevant subject specialism and a strong record of success teaching a diverse range of modules. We are particularly interested to hear from candidates with knowledge and experience teaching at undergraduate level in:
Construction and structures, structural analysis or structural design
Soil mechanics, engineering geology and civil engineering materials, and geotechnics
Foundation design and engineering
Highway design and analysis
Engineering mathematics
The successful candidate will:
hold a PhD qualification in a relevant subject area
maintain registration with an engineering professional body
demonstrate strong leadership skills and a commitment to a practical, laboratory, practice-based and industry-informed teaching
lead and contribute to the wider School activities for its continued growth
plan, design, develop and deliver a range of high-quality programmes of study at all levels, ensuring that programme design and delivery comply with the academic quality
