Requirements:
- UK License up to 3.5T - essential
- Able to treat pests using commercial grade baits by having passed the British Pest Control Rodenticide course. Or an equivalent course.
- Able to pass the British Pest Control Rodenticide or equivalent course to enable poison usage.
Responsibilities:
As an Pest Control Officer, you duties will include:
- Working as part of a pest control team to complete daily work allocations to safely treat rats, mice, and insects as scheduled. Producing accurate records of treatments undertaken and updating computer records
- Producing risk based safe treatment programs and ensuring non-target species are protected.
- Working together to assist in developing and implementing safe working procedures within the team. Contributing and complying with the teams Health and Safety risk assessments.
- Ensuring effective treatments are carried out and advice given on environmental factors that may prevent re-infestation.
- Undertaking simple Pest proofing where required. This may include some basic DIY skills.
- Undertaking statutory action where required by serving notices on people who refuse treatments. Willing to gather evidence and produce witness statements as necessary.
- Undertaking daily basic vehicle maintenance checks and ensure vehicles are regularly cleaned
- Salary - £12.00 - £13.88 per hour
- hours - 35 weekly hours
- Monday to Friday 08.30am - 4.30pm but flexible between 07.00 - 19.00
- flexibility to work weekends and different hours is essential
