Teaching Assistant Level 2 with SEN

Vacancy for: TA2 to work in Year 2 with a child with an EHCP
Required from: 22nd April 2025
Scale points - Grade D Points 6 -11 (£25,183 - £27,269, pay award pending Pro Rata to reflect term time and part time working)
Plus SNA Allowance (£1,491 Pro Rata to reflect term time and part time working)
Actual Salary is £15,650 to £16,946 plus SNA allowance of £926 per annum
Appointment type: Fixed term to 31st August 2026
Contract: Term time only. 27.50 hours per week
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 9.30am-3.30pm.

The Governing Board are looking to appoint an energetic and highly motivated Teaching Assistant from April 2025 for our one and a half form entry Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School. We are looking for someone to work with a child on a one to one basis under the supervision of the class teacher, implementing actions in support plans to ensure EHCP outcomes are achieved. We are looking for a dynamic, creative, imaginative and inspirational Teaching Assistant who has the qualities to continue to develop our children’s love of learning and excitement about coming to school each day.

Main duties
To provide support in class to ensure the safety of pupils and enable them to access all areas of the curriculum.
To attend to the personal needs of SEND children, including pastoral, social, health, physical hygiene and welfare.
To provide support at lunchtime.
To maintain accurate observations and records for children to share with the class teacher, SENDCO and Head
To liaise with other outside agencies in supporting any child and to act upon advice given
To attend any relevant training to further support pupils in school
Have good basic skills in Mathematics and English - GCSE or equivalent
Be able to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues and outside professionals
Be able to work as part of a team
