Summary
We're seeking an AutoCAD Technician / CAD Technician to join the retail team of Steve Ritchie Partnership, an experienced, client-focused international team of architects based in East London (near Aldgate East Tube Station).
Known for its practical and thoughtful approach to design, SRP delivers innovative, enduring, and commercially viable buildings across a range of sectors, including Commercial, Retail, Masterplanning, Mixed Use, Residential, Office, & Industrial.
This new opportunity presents an exciting opening for an AutoCAD Technician / CAD Technician with a keen eye for detail to contribute to fast-moving retail Store Planning projects. Working alongside architects and other technicians you will translate data-driven insights into precise, efficient, and commercially viable store layouts. Using AutoCAD, you will produce accurate 2D drawings that help refine floor plans, optimise customer flow, and ensure layouts align with operational requirements, brand standards, and compliance regulations.
Initially covering maternity leave (with the possibility of perm), this role offers the chance to work in a friendly and collaborative workplace, contributing to high-profile projects within a structured and well-supported environment. Prior store planning experience isn't necessary, you will receive training to get up to speed.

You are an AutoCAD Technician with a minimum of 2 years industry experience in the UK.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (experience with Revit, SketchUp, or other design tools is a bonus).
Experience of playing an active role in live projects and collaborating with different disciplines.
First-class communication skills (fluent English written & spoken).
The ability to visualise, illustrate, and present ideas clearly.
Strong technical and practical problem-solving skills.
A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and take on responsibility.
Any prior experience in Retail Planning / Store Planning is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. Also, please note, we are only able to accept applications from those who have the right to live and work in the UK and who are based here permanently.
