Summary
Thomas James Bespoke in Colne are recruiting for an Apprentice Sprayer/Finisher. The successful candidate will work towards completing a Level 2 Furniture Manufacturer apprenticeship over the duration of 24 months.
Description:
•Full prep work of kitchen components including solid wood and MDF.
•Spray coat water- based primer and water- based topcoat.
•Spray lacquer oak veneer cabinet panels.
•Full management of painting schedules and spray sheets.
•Occasional use of various wood stains/finishes.
•A good understanding of cabinet components and painting schedules.
•Rubbing down and preparing timber for finishing
•Gun/Equipment maintenance
•Brush, spray, or hand-rub finishing ingredients into timber product
•Prepare timber for spraying (de-nibbing).
Requirements:
•A genuine passion for finishing bespoke cabinetry.
•Able to work to agreed deadlines to a high standard.
•Able to work from production drawings/sheets.
•Able to work on initiative as well as part of a team.
•Good communication skills.
Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:00-4:30pm / 30 mins unpaid lunch / breaks am and pm, 36 hours per week.
