Crynodeb

We are looking for an Electrical Test Engineer to join the team with our client in Pucklechurch, to conduct telecom and panel testing.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct electrical and functional testing of panels to ensure compliance with technical drawings and specifications.

Verify correct wiring, terminations, and component placements within control panels.

Diagnose and troubleshoot faults, resolving any wiring or component-related issues.

Perform software upload, I/O checking, and configuration where required.

Collaborate with design engineers, panel builders, and project managers to address and rectify non-conformances.

Ensure all panels meet health and safety regulations and industry standards before despatch.

Document test results, findings, and corrective actions taken.

Maintain test equipment and ensure it is calibrated and functioning correctly.

Provide technical support and guidance to other team members when necessary.

Required Skills & Experience:

Experience in BMS panel testing, electrical control panel testing, or a similar role.

Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, control systems, and circuit testing.

Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

Familiarity with HVAC control systems, BACnet, Modbus, or similar protocols is advantageous.

Proficiency in using multi-meters, insulation testers, and other electrical testing equipment.

Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to troubleshoot and resolve panel faults efficiently.

Awareness of health & safety regulations relevant to electrical testing.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications:

Electrical Engineering qualification (HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent) is preferred.

18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification is desirable.

CSCS/ECS Card or equivalent is advantageous.

Relevant industry experience in BMS, electrical control panels, or automation systems.
