Summary
Roles responsibilites: To ensure that clinical standards in vascular sonography are maintained. To ensure that the scanning of patients is carried out as quickly as possible, consistent with keeping to the standard required and that the patients are sent home or to other departments with the least possible delay. Deliver a comprehensive duplex ultrasound service for patients with peripheral vascular disease, venous disease, and carotid disease, ensuring high-quality imaging and clear reports for referring physicians. Be professionally and legally responsible for all aspects of work, including clinical practice, ensuring accurate reports and timely communication of results to appropriate personnel. Prepare patients for examination, obtain consent, assist with mobility, and ensure their comfort and welfare throughout the process. To adhere to departmental policies and keep up to date with developments in vascular technology, to attend courses and seminars as necessary.
