Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in various settings, including hospice care, nursing homes, and childcare environments. Your primary focus will be to enhance the quality of life for those you assist by offering personal care, companionship, and practical support tailored to their unique needs.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality personal care to clients, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment.
Monitor clients' health and wellbeing, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in social activities and community engagement.
Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a care setting such as hospice care, nursing homes, or childcare is highly desirable.
Knowledge of first aid practices and medication administration is beneficial.
A caring and empathetic nature with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients.
Relevant qualifications in health and social care would be advantageous but are not essential.
