We’re looking for a creative and ambitious Event Assistant to join our Communications and Events team.
About the role:
The successful postholder will work within the Events Team to assist in the co-ordination and cultivate a range of high-profile events across the University of Central Lancashire, including but not limited to: Graduation, Open and Offer Holder days, Lancashire Science Festival, and Academic Conferences.
About you:
The ideal candidate will have experience in working events and a fast-paced office environment. You will have demonstratable experience of administration support with strong communication skills, dealing with internal and external stakeholders with an enthusiastic attitude and willingness to work as part of team to deliver successful events. It is essential you have a good understanding of health and safety at events and the ability to prioritise and work across multiple projects simultaneously. We’re looking for someone with a good work ethic, who is willing to work some evenings and weekends, and is passionate about organising fantastic events. You will have an undergraduate degree qualification or equivalent qualification/experiential learning. This is a great opportunity for those who are looking to start a career in the events industry.
This position is based in Preston city centre, with some ‘blended’ working based on the needs of the university.
