We are seeking a talented Manual/Functional Tester(s) to join our team and help support our growing business. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
The successful candidate(s) will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of our software through various testing methodologies.
Responsibilities
Execute test cases, report bugs, and verify fixes to ensure the software meets the desired quality standards
Working closely with the Test Lead, developers and other team members within an agile software development environment
Contributing to ideas for system improvements
Create and execute test cases for manual and help automation Team
Utilise root cause analysis to investigate and resolve issues
Proven experience as a Tester, Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
Keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills
Familiarity with agile development methodologies (Scrum)
Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
Knowledge of software testing techniques and best practices
· Manual Testing: Perform thorough manual testing of financial applications and systems, including functional, regression, and system testing to ensure adherence to quality standards.
· Test Case Development: Design, develop, and maintain detailed and comprehensive test cases and scenarios based on business requirements and technical specifications.
· Test Execution: Execute test plans, document test results, and identify, log, and track defects to ensure issues are resolved before deployment.
· Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and ensure effective testing coverage.
· Reporting: Provide regular status reports and test summaries to stakeholders, highlighting key issues and progress.
· Issue Resolution: Actively participate in defect triage meetings and collaborate with developers to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
· Documentation: Maintain and update testing documentation, including test plans, test scripts, and defect logs, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Manual Testing Expertise: Proven experience in manual testing, particularly within the financial services sector or investment banking.
· Testing Tools: Familiarity with common testing tools and platforms for defect tracking and test management.
· Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and identify issues.
· Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy in test execution and documentation.
· Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate issues and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
· Documentation: Experience in creating and maintaining comprehensive test documentation.
