Crynodeb

Ensure practice is in accordance with the NMC code of Professional conduct and work within limits of competence. To maintain high standards of care by personal example and conduct and be a credible practitioner in the area. Have overall responsibility for the ward area. Participate in the daily personal care of patients. To be responsible for Ward/Department nursing staff and to provide a quality and cost effective service in accordance with Trust policy and procedures. To develop a positive team culture and manage recruitment and retention of the workforce. To demonstrate and promote professional, clinical and managerial leadership acting as a resource and providing guidance to own staff. To ensure effective liaison and professional relationships with all members of the multi-disciplinary teams To lead on the dissemination of information across the team and ensure that Directorate/Divisional and Trust communications are effectively passed on to all members and that staff concerns and interests are represented at Directorate level. To assist the Service Manager/Operational Manager in the effective management of the department/ward budget and Service Manager/Operational Manager to contribute to budget setting for the Department/Directorate.
