Communications Lead

Are you a passionate, positive, and driven communications professional? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where plate spinning and juggling are just part of the daily routine? If so, we want you!

We're on the hunt for a creative genius who can re-prioritise with ease and produce materials that cut through the noise to reach our target audiences. You'll be the reliable 'safe pair of hands' we need, but also someone who sees the bigger picture and can create plans that support our wider strategy.

We like high energy, a focus on delivering and making a difference and – dare we say – fun!

What We're Looking For:
• Experience in complex organisations and developing relationships across multiple areas of work.
• Ability to create plans that support wider strategies and produce creative content.
• Expertise in managing media relations, briefing journalists, and handling press conferences.
• Skills in using design software, digital tools, and social media platforms.

If you're ready to bring your creativity, reliability, and strategic thinking to our team, apply now and help us shape the future of communications at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

What You'll Do:
• Lead communications for core clients including DSFS – our wholly-owned subsidiary, Royal Primary Care, Chesterfield Royal Hospital Charity, and large programmes – as well as being a key member of the corporate comms team.
• Support the development and delivery of communication planners.
• Coordinate with colleagues to maximise the impact of our communications.
• Develop connections with stakeholders to support engagement and community initiatives.
• Monitor and report on performance to ensure we're hitting our targets

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver high-impact campaigns for key clients within the Chesterfield Royal Hospital Group.
• Develop campaign messaging and concepts, both in-house and with external experts.
• Manage social media platforms to maximise engagement with our target audiences.
• Ensure our communications comply with GDPR and other relevant legislation.
• Support recruitment and retention efforts by making the best use of our external channels.

Why You'll Love This Role:
• Make a real difference as part of a small, friendly, and dedicated team.
• Enjoy a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) that's primarily office-based.
• Work alongside the Associate Director of Communications to manage the Trust’s corporate identity, style, and branding.
• Be responsible for producing internal and external communications, advising Trust colleagues, and leading specific projects.

Join Us and Make a Difference!

If you're ready to bring your creativity, reliability, and strategic thinking to our team, apply now and help us shape the future of communications at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
