About Us:
Kenect Recruitment are seeking a skilled and motivated Gully Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and operating a specialist gully truck to clean and maintain gullies, drains, and other drainage systems.

Role Overview:
As a Gully Truck Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective operation of drainage systems in urban and rural areas. You will operate a gully truck to clean and empty gullies, clear blockages, and carry out regular inspections to ensure the smooth functioning of drainage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely driving and operating a gully truck for cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Performing routine cleaning, jetting, and waste removal from gullies, drains, and other drainage systems.
  • Carrying out regular inspections to identify blockages, faults, or potential issues.
  • Ensuring all waste is disposed of in compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Completing daily logs, including vehicle checks and work reports.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and good working order of the gully truck.
  • Adhering to all health and safety guidelines and ensuring safe working practices at all times.
  • Working with the team to address customer concerns and meet service delivery expectations.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A valid and clean UK driving license with category C (HGV) or equivalent.
  • Experience in operating gully trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Knowledge of drainage systems and gully cleaning practices is advantageous but not essential.
  • A strong understanding of health and safety procedures in a road-based or maintenance setting.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform manual tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification for drivers.
  • Previous experience in waste management or drainage cleaning.
